Lakota Outdoors

My connection with Lakota Outdoors came from a good friend and the founder Stu “Beefy” Harrison.

February 2020 and i’m just about to head to Scotland for a week with a fellow veteran Jason Barton. As I was going through all of my equipment needed for a little over a week in the remote forest of Galloway my phone rings.

It was Stu…

“Andrew I have got an idea I want to run past you if you have five minuets?”

So an hour or so goes by and the conversation ended with a simple “Count me in.”

Stu had come up with an idea to create a brand image to motivate and inspire people to get into the outdoors, and to make positive change in their lives. A strong message which aligns well to my own beliefs.

Little did we know that fast forward a month and the UK would be in full lockdown.

Now this wasn’t taken as a negative, in fact it was quite the opposite. The initial launch for the first run of brand merchandise was released and spirits were high.

This period also enabled us to find the correct team members to help us with our goal. The team now consists of various individuals all with a passion and drive to share the outdoors and the benefits of physical fitness and mental robustness with others.

Personally for me I wouldn’t look back, being part of Lakota outdoors has given me a group of friends who I now see more like family, and to see the brand continue to grow has been an incredible experience.
